Janine Sheikh of Newark, De, age 35, passed unto eternal peace unexpectedly on July 2, 2015 in her home. She was the daughter of Waheed Sheikh, PhD and Janice M Church. She was born in Wilmington and raised in Hockessin, DE. She was previously employed by SL Pharma Labs, Inc as Office Manager. Janine was the founder of the Janasia Bengal cat line and adored cats. Known for her creativity, she designed websites and wrote short stories and wrote a book nearly completed. She enjoyed her artwork, photography, fishing and time at the beach. Her most cherished time was being a loving mother. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Violet Sheikh; two sisters, Rosina (David) Santiago of Cecilton, MD and Tasneem (David) Siegrist of Lancaster, PA. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, especially, Carrie Hougentogler and Melody Cline. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bellevue Hall, 911 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE; where visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Guests should enter the State Park through the Philadelphia Pike Gated Entrance for Bellevue Hall. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
