FAMILY-OWNED AND OPERATED SINCE 1912

Jon S. Navert

It is with great sadness that the family of Jon Stephen Navert announces his sudden death in New Castle, DE on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the age of 51.

Jon was born in Wilmington, DE and the son of the late Teresa (MacNamara) and Jack Hennessy. He has worked as an electrician with the IBEW Local 313 for over 20 years. He was a die hard Philadelphia Sports fan. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, shooting pool, and beautiful women (not necessarily in that order). Jon would want it to be known that he died as a result of being stubborn, and raising hell for more than 5 decades.

Jon is survived by his children, Jaimee Thomas and her husband, Jason of Northeast, MD, Stephen Navert of Port Penn and Nikki Navert of Elsmere; his grandchildren, Jadrien, Conner, Christopher, Payton and Declan; his brothers, Robert Johnson, Robert Phillips, Timothy MacNamara and Frank Hennessy and his sisters, Jacquelynn Lyons and Jennifer Ford.

A Celebration of Jon's life will be announced at a later date.

My love and blessings to the family. Of course, like most folks, I feel so very sad for this news. When Jon was young, the Lupinetti and Navert clans lived next door to each other and I had many opportunities to babysat him and his siblings. He was a darling, daring, wild child! We were not in touch very much as I moved to California in 1983. But the one time Jon made a trip out to California and visited me will always be a special memory. My love is with you all in Spirit.

Jon and I worked together at the Boxwood Rd. GM plant on the skillet job. He was a good guy and a great work partner. His name and death was announced today at our LU #313 retiree's meeting. I am still shocked and saddened that Jon is gone. While we did electrical work together he confided much to me. I was an older journeyman and shared much with him. Please accept my condolences in your loss. Warren

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's painful to lose someone you love. I would like to share with you and your family and friends an encouraging message from the Bible. Revelation 21:4 promises us that he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain will be any more. The former things have passed away. You could be in pain right now but very soon God is going to turn things around and we know that for sure because the Bible gives us that promise. And the Bible is God`s word. Please read those scriptures with your Bible. I hope this message gives you courage during this time of bereavement.
