Zaida Ivette Dore, age 69, of Bear, DE passed away at her home on December 10, 2021. Born in Bayamon,Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Delia Colon Santos and Cruz Francisco Concepcion. After retiring from years in public service Zaida was a Lay Pastor within the Peninsula-Delaware Conference of the United Methodist Church. Zaida served on the Executive Board of several non-profit organizations and charitable foundations, the one she was most proud of was the Latin American Community Center (LACC). Aside from being a servant to, for and of the Hispanic communities of Northern Delaware Zaida enjoyed creating lasting memories with all she met as she treated everyone as family. Her door was always open and a plate of food always at the ready. Most of all, Zaida enjoyed spending time with those she loved the most, her grandchildren: Brittany (25), Marlen Jr "MJ" (22) and Ayana Currington (18); Isabella (12) and Gavin Crockett (7); and Valentina Rodriguez (7).

Zaida leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dr. Carlos Dore and his daughter Yolanda Jazmin Dore and her beloved daughters and sons in love Nayadette Cruz and Jorge Rodriguez; and Bianca and James Crockett; her sister, Irma Morales and her brothers Cruz Francisco Concepcion (Luldes) and Pedro Jaime Concepcion and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend its most sincere gratitude to the Christiana Fire Company Ambulance 6 and New Castle County emergency first responders for their extraordinary dedication and valiant efforts.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests taking a moment out of each busy day to be kind to a stranger and share a smile.
