Wilbur Fanny, Jr., age 72, of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 1, 2024.

A lifelong native of Wilmington, Wilbur was the son of the late Shirley (Clark) and Wilbur M. Fanny. Wilbur graduated from Salesianum School and among other professional work, was employed as a bookkeeper at Lincoln University until his retirement. Wilbur loved to read and had an extensive repertoire of books. His happiest times were spent with his siblings and their families. A homebody by nature, Wilbur did enjoy getting together with his family for the holidays and special occasions.

Wilbur is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Mike Haley; his brother, Greg Fanny; his nieces and nephew, Susan M. Haley, Cynthia A. Long (Josh), and Michael J, Haley, Jr. (Jamie); and 6 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and burial for Wilbur will be held privately.
