Virginia Lee Blackwell, age 70, of Newark passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Virginia was born in Elkton, MD, daughter of the late Anna E. (Wilson) and Robert E. Bailey. Virginia graduated from Christiana High School and went on to work in the food service industry until her retirement. Animals held a special place in Virginia's heart, especially her cats. In her free time, Virginia enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Virginia was also predeceased by her husband, Raymond Blackwell; and son, Robert James "Bobby" Lutz.

Virginia is survived by her son, George Lutz; sister, and her husband, Robin R. Beach (Richard W.); and numerous friends and extended family members whom she all loved.

Funeral services for Virginia will be held privately.
