Obituary

Virginia R. Bissot, age 93, of West Grove, PA formerly of Hockessin, DE, passed away on January 3rd, 2024. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, she was the daughter of the late Lottie (Budzynski) and John Wojtulewicz. After moving to Delaware with her husband, Virginia was a dedicated homemaker for her husband and eight children. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Mary of the Assumption Church.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Bissot; her daughters, Susan Bissot and Karen Morrow; and her granddaughter, Tara. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Steven and Elizabeth Bissot, David and Kathleen Bissot, Mary Ellen and C.J "Jerry" Miller, Charles and Ruth Bissot, Diane Gray, and Maureen Bissot and Enrique Valqui; 18 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 10th at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike Hockessin, DE 19707 at 10:30 A.M. Friends and family are invited to a visitation beginning at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ashland, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Ministry of Caring, 115 E. 14th Street Wilmington, DE 19801-3209 or Little Sister of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Rd Newark, DE 19713.
