Vincent Avallone, age 81, of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Francis and Edward Avallone.

Vincent was a devoted father, cherished "Pop Pop," and a loyal friend to many. After graduating from high school in New York, he began his career as an entrepreneur by owning and operating a dry-cleaning business. In 1978, he moved his family to Delaware, where he established a lasting legacy as the owner and operator of Deals on Wheels.

Beyond his professional success, Vincent was known for his sharp mind and competitive spirit. An avid poker player, he was a familiar face at Delaware Park, where he won multiple tournaments. He achieved a significant personal milestone by competing in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. When he wasn't at the poker table, Vincent had a passion for travel, particularly enjoying cruises and exploring new destinations. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Vincent was predeceased by his sister, Patsy Brusini.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sally Avallone; his daughters and their spouses, Sally-Ann Fanzo (Chris) and Tina Avallone (Leo); and his beloved grandchildren, Cole (Taylor), Cody Vincent, and Alyrose. He also leaves behind many close family friends whom he loved dearly.

A visitation for Vincent will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may call from 11am to 12pm, with a Celebration of Life following at 12pm.
