Timothy Michael Halsey of Alexandria Virginia and Lincoln University, Pennsylvania passed on July 28th, 2026, at the age of 75 years.

Born in Alexandria Virginia in 1950, he was the son of the late Nancy J. and Edward L. Halsey, Jr. Raised in the Bren Mar area, Tim graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Northern Virginia Community College. Maturing his green thumb at NVCC, Tim was well known for his love of plants and would often be found in his garden tending to the greenery. His creativity continued over the years in the decorating and design arena. He was also an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed collecting classic miniature models. Tim enjoyed local travel, collecting statues of East Coast lighthouses and unique snow scene figurines.

Tim spent his career in the decorating and design business, owned a landscaping company, clerked at the Registrar’s office of Lincoln University, and was the face of the US Post Office counter in Oxford and Kemblesville PA. Tim’s popularity in the community earned him the moniker of “Mayor of Lincoln University Township” and he was contemplating retirement at his residence in Chester County, PA.

Tim is survived by his wife of 26 years Anne Keene; his children, Jessica Halsey, Melissa Halsey, Joe Keene, and Shannan Keene; his grandchildren, Samm Keene, Robert Keene, Arielle Coburn, and Cameron Webster; his great granddaughter, Maelynn Earlywine; his siblings, Patrica Brill, Peggy Bacon, Teresa Halsey, Kevin Halsey, Dennis Halsey, Christine Bollo, Kelly Halsey, Eileen Filipowicz, Darren Halsey; and his previous wife Colleen Halsey.

A Funeral Service for Tim will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Christian Life Center, 125 Saginaw Rd, Lincoln University, PA 19352 at 11am. Burial will follow at the New London Presbyterian Cemetery. The family welcomes any classic cars or hotrods to honor Tim. The dress code is casual, and children are more than welcome.
