Thomas A. Washall, 95, of Newark, passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Helen (Tomczyk) and Anthony Washall. Thomas graduated from the University of Delaware and began a career as a chemist working for Arco, now known as BP, where he retired after more than 30 years of service. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time in Bethany Beach with his wife, Evelyn. He was most proud of his family and will be missed dearly by those who were closest to him.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Evelyn (Kauffman) Washall and his son, John Washall. Thomas is survived by his two sons and their spouses, Thomas and Kathleen and Mark and Patricia Washall; his grandchildren, Kevin Washall (Jill), Megan Herrmann (Keith), Ryan Washall (Lisa), Jillian Shiekh (Reza), Jeffrey Washall, and John Kelly, and Lindsey Washall.; and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at St. John's Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE 19711, on Tuesday, March 21st from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 A.M.
