Theresa M. Roman, age 80, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her home.

Theresa was born in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Madeline Melson and Edward J. Kowalski. Theresa graduated from St. Elizabeth high school. After high school she went on to become a homemaker for her growing family. She did, however, stay busy with various jobs such as a phone operator at the Cab Company, helping at an antique shop, an office worker for her son's company Roman Oil, and most importantly, watching her beloved grandchildren.

Theresa had many hobbies. She loved antiques and finding treasures at auctions. She enjoyed crafting, painting, reading, dancing, and telling jokes. She loved animals and spent her life caring for many strays and giving a home to many who were in need.

In addition to her parents, Theresa is predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years Edmund "Sonny" Raymond Roman, Jr.; her siblings Edward R. Kowalski, Joann M. Civarelli, and Joseph J. Kowalski; and her grandson Rick Fuller.

Theresa will be missed by her children and spouses Lisa Fuller (Kenneth Laface), David Roman, Karyn Curry (Larry), and Stacy Hoffman (John Moore Jr); Grandchildren are Stephen (Sarah), Stephanie, Lauren (Randy), Morgan, Brittany, Autumn, and John III; great grandchildren Kristin, Theo, Skylar, Rosalie, Jahzel, Mason, Madilynn, and Layla.

Services for Theresa will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware SPCA in Newark, DE.
