Theodore Alves Santos, age 85, of Hampton, VA, formerly of Wilmington, DE, and Scranton, PA, passed away on May 25th, 2024. Born in Scranton, Teddy was the son of the late Mary (Mungio) and Joseph Santos, Sr.  A 1956 graduate of West Scranton High School, he served two years in the United States Air Force.  He spent most of his career working in the air cargo industry, including Summit Airlines in Atlanta, GA, and Philadelphia, PA, from 1973 until 1987, and Air Cargo Inc., Annapolis, MD, from 1987 until his retirement in 2002.  He achieved the position of vice president with both companies.  Teddy was also a proud member of the oldies music group The Magics in the early 1960s, which achieved chart success in the Scranton region with their cover of the song "Chapel Bells."  The group reunited in 1991 with most of the original members and performed oldies shows in northeast Pennsylvania until 2018.  Teddy was a former member of Community Fellowship Church in Wilmington, DE.

Teddy was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Linda L. Santos in 2005; and his sisters, Louise, Gloria, and Marie. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Kelly Parrish, Theodore Santos, Jr., Matthew and Cynthia Santos, Shaun and Orsi Santos, Scott and Amy Santos, Todd Santos, and Jeffrey and Linda Santos; his grandchildren, Dena, Casey, Brett, Evan, Mia, Max, Maggie, Jenny, Sara, Dylan, and Alex; two great grandchildren; and his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Barbara Santos.

Burial will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington, DE.  A celebration of life is being planned for August 11th in Scranton, PA.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Stand up to Cancer, .org. Online condolences may be made to mealeyfuneralhomes.com.
