Thelma L. Faulk, age 92, of Newark, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Thelma was born in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Rosa Geneva (Lowery) and Heanon Wilkins. Thelma graduated from Dunbar High School and went on to attend DC Teachers College, where she trained as an educator. She later taught in the District of Columbia Public Schools and abroad in Japan, before devoting herself to raising her family as a homemaker. In her free time, Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was also predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Faulk, Sr; her brother, Heanon Wilkins; her sister, Berniece Williams; and her nephew, Bartlett Hawkins,Jr.

Thelma is survived by her sons and their spouses, Edward Faulk, Jr (Brandy) Faulk, and Michael Faulk (Tracy) Faulk; her sister, Emma Wilkins Hawkins; grandsons, Edward David Faulk, III and Seth Roland Faulk; great-grandson, Edward David Faulk, IV; niece, Paulette G. Clark; nephews, Bryan L. Hawkins and Keith A. Hawkins; sister in law, Constance Wilkins; and a host of family and friends.

A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701, at 1:00 p.m.
