Teresa Gaitan, age 100, of Washington, D.C, formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Teresa was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Teresa V. (McGuiness) and Joseph A. McGarry. Teresa graduated from high school and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and went on to work at the Social Security Administration until her retirement. In her free time, Teresa enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Teresa is predeceased by her granddaughter, Desiree Van Rest; and sister, Helen V. McGarry.

Teresa is survived by her daughter, Terry Gaitan and great grandson, Jayden Van Rest.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 2013 Gilpin Ave, Wilmington, DE 19806. Burial will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
