Susan Marie
Wierzbicki
February 14, 1964 – May 24, 2023
Susan M. Wierzbicki, age 59, of Newark Delaware passed away May 24, 2023.
Susan was born in Wilmington, DE to Pearl J. Jordan and Dallas W. Jordan. Susan graduated from John Dickinson High School, where she was quite the athlete then went on to be an administrator at Rollins Leasing and Orkin Pest Control for almost 40 years. She took great pride in her work and was someone who everyone could count on to be there, be positive, and do a good job. She earned the respect and friendship of everyone who worked with her.
Susan married her first love and best friend Michael Wierzbicki. They went on to build their life together that included hard work and days filled with love and joy while at the beach, fishing, and crabbing, watching a Steelers game, or entertaining at their pool with friends and family, especially with Olivia and Kayleigh, whom Michael and Susan truly adored. Their favorite holiday was Halloween as they created elaborate scary displays. Their home was the house to visit that would have all the neighborhood kids excited and screaming with joy.
Michael passed away unexpectedly in 2019. Although Susan experienced more losses than anyone should have to endure, her human spirit for meaning and connection lived on allowing her to find her second love Daniel Matt. They became friends before finding a deep love for each other. Together they enjoyed exploring new areas, hanging out with friends and family, and grabbing an early dinner at their favorite restaurants.
Susan's big personality, her positive attitude, and her strength to keep going no matter what - will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her husband Michael Wierzbicki, her brother William D. Jordan, and nephew Jordan H. Humphreys. Susan is survived by her loving partner Daniel Matt, her sister Sandra Jordan-Humphreys brother-in-law, Tim Humphreys, niece Ashley Jordan, nephew Will Jordan, and Charles and Marlene McCallister with whom she had an extra special connection.
