Susan M. Chopko, 62 of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on Saturday,  May 4, 2024.

Susan was born in Chester, PA, the daughter of the late Monica (Curran) and Peter Gillen. She graduated from William Penn High School and worked in the medical field at Papastavros and Jennersville Hospital and spent time assisting the elderly later in her career. She also worked in the restaurant field as an excellent waitress, serving her customers with her bubbly personality and always happy to accommodate their needs. Susan enjoyed cooking, especially for her close family and friends, and loved visiting new restaurants and trying out new foods. She was known for making the very best cheesecake anyone had ever tasted.  She enjoyed and excelled at preparing holiday meals for her family. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, particularly Ocean City, NJ, and dancing to all sorts of different music.

In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her brother, John. Susan is survived by her sons, Matthew and Christopher Chopko, their father, Mark Chopko all of Landenberg, PA and her sister, Marianne Gillen of Wilmington.

Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date.
