It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sune Sigfrid Hook, age 95, of Newark, DE. Sune peacefully left us on February 10, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Sune was born in Sweden on May 2, 1929. He immigrated to America in 1957, becoming a proud citizen of his chosen country in 1961. He retired from Chrysler Newark Assembly after 32 years.

Sune lived a full and generous life. He was honest and considerate of the differences in others. He had a passion for travel starting at an early age, always seeking the Sun. His travels took him throughout Europe and North Africa. He shared his many future lifetime trips with family. He passed this love of travel on to his family.

He was the loving husband, of 67 years, to former Barbara Miruk.Sune also leaves behind his daughter Katrine Hutchison, son-in-law Charles, two granddaughters Brin of Newark, Mila Koeva, her husband Dimitri and great grand-daughter Hazel of Ottawa, Canada.

Celebration of Life for Family and Friends will be forthcoming. In Lieu of flowers, a contribution to Delaware Hospice is encouraged.
