Stuart Joseph Simmons, 67, of Wilmington, DE, passed away tragically on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Stuart was born in Wilmington, DE the son of the late Elizabeth (Wootten) and Michael Simmons. He attended McKean High School and worked for many years at the Acme in Pike Creek. He was an avid golfer playing at Three Little Bakers, Hercules and Deerfield Golf Clubs. Stuart is survived by his stepmother, Jane Simmons of Wilmington; his siblings and their spouses, Michael Simmons, Jr. of Arizona, Paul and Jacqui Simmons of Sacramento, CA, Patricia and Greg Carr of Australia, Patrick and Arij Simmons of Greenville, and Amy and Thomas Francisconi of Wilmington; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 25, 2022 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707 at 10:30 AM, where friends may call after 9:30 AM.
