Steven Lee Bachman, 42 of Wilmington passed away tragically on January 9, 2019 after an industrial accident.Steve was born in Wilmington. He was a graduate of McKean High School and worked as a painter for the Union, District Council 21. Steve was an avid sports fan, enjoyed following politics and was an accomplished musician.Steve will be missed by his mother and stepfather, Laurie and Fran DiPersio of Wilmington; his father, Ronald Canter of New Castle; his children, Alyssa, Samantha, Alexandria and Nicholas Bachman; his sister, Lisa DiPersio of Wilmington; his brother and sister-in-law, Francis DiPersio, III and Elise of Newark; his paternal grandmother, Betty Canter of New Castle and his paternal grandfather, Francis DiPersio of Millsboro.Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 6 PM at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, where friends may call after 4 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Steven Bachman Children's Education Fund, c/o Fulton Bank, 3812 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
