A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Ursuline Sister Stephanie Wilson, 83, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 5:00 PM at the local Ursuline Convent chapel. Sr. Stephanie died on March 29, 2017, at Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, after a year-long illness.Celebrating this year her 60th jubilee of religious profession, Sr. Stephanie served at the local Ursuline convent four separate times: in 1970, as a teacher in the Ursuline Academy High School, for five years in the 1980's and again from 2011 to 2014 as superior of the local community, and from 2000 to 2003. For many of those years, she worked at the Ministry of Caring in the Finance Office and later as CFO at Sacred Heart Village; she was also active with the UA Board of Trustees and its committees.Sr. Stephanie taught elementary and high school students in Ursuline schools in The Bronx and New Rochelle, New York and in Bethesda, Maryland, and held leadership positions in Santa Rosa, California, and as a General Councilor at the Order's Generalate in Rome, Italy.A graduate of the College of New Rochelle, Sr. Stephanie received a Master's degree from The Catholic University of America and a MBA from Iona College. After completing advanced studies in finance, she served for many years of Provincial Treasurer for the Order, at the Catholic Relief Services as Director of Deferred Giving, and as Financial Vice President at the University of Bethlehem in Israel.Sr. Stephanie is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Rooney Wilson, her brother and sister and their spouses, and a nephew. She is survived by her Ursuline sisters throughout the world and by nieces and a nephew and their families.Funeral and interment were held in New Rochelle, New York, on April 3, 2017. The Wilmington Ursulines invite alumnae, friends and co-workers to the Memorial Mass at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the Ursuline Convent Chapel, 1104 Pennsylvania Avenue.
