Shirley M. Johnson, age 77, of Hockessin, DE passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024. Born in Wilmington, she is the daughter of the late Mary and Levi B. Bennett. She graduated high school from John Dickinson High School and worked at the local favorite, Constantinou's, as a bartender and waitress.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald A. Johnson in 2015 and her daughter, Lisa Tidwell. She is survived by her children, DJ and Christie Susi, Judith Johnson, Marc Gerard, and David and Michele Johnson; her grandchildren, Brittany Richardson (Danny), Anthony Susi, Casey Tidwell (Deshawn), Bradley Tidwell (Ali), Dominic Susi (Brittany), Robert and James Caputo, Matthew and Taylor Johnson; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A chapel service will be held at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE 19701, on Friday September 27th at 1 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Faithful Friends due to her love of animals.
