Shayla Jade Bish, age 29, of Newark, Delaware, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, surrounded by love.

Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and raised in Middletown, Delaware, by her father Larry Bish. Shayla was a graduate of Appoquinimink High School and continued her education at University of Delaware and Wilmington University.

Shayla was a visionary and entrepreneur who owned multiple businesses throughout her years. Built a social following rooted in her personality, experiences, pure comedy, authenticity, and voice. She loved traveling the world, attending concerts, and interviewing celebrities. Shayla carried a vibrant, contagious spirit — one that made people laugh, lifted energy, and left a lasting imprint everywhere she went.

She was fiercely loyal to her people and loved deeply. Shayla's circle was chosen, intentional, and sacred to her.

Though her time on this earth was brief, Shayla fulfilled her purpose. Her light was undeniable, her impact far-reaching. We trust God's promise "to give beauty for ashes" (Isaiah 61:3) and find peace knowing Shayla is now free, whole, and resting in God's presence.

Shayla is survived by her father, Larry Bish; sister, Brianna Bish; her brothers, Brian and Jeffrey Bish; and her chosen family — friends who became soul-family.

A celebration of life for Shayla will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Congo Legacy Center, 501 W. 28th St, Wilmington, DE 19802 at 12pm. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Shayla's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
