Sharon G. Lyons, age 74, of Newark, DE, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Sharon was born in Annapolis, MD, daughter of Donald Taylor and the late Blanche (Colbert).  She was an Advanced Practice Nurse in Rehabilitation Medicine at A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital for 27 years prior to her retirement. Sharon served as the President of the Brain Injury Association of Delaware for several terms. She loved spending time in her hometown of Annapolis and crabbing on her father's dock. Her three sons were her pride and joy, and she will be dearly missed by her family.

Sharon is survived by her sons, George Kenneth "Ken" Lyons (Laurie) of Westminster, MD,  Christopher "C.T." Lyons (Stephanie) of Wilmington, DE, and Mark Lyons of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Jack, Audrey, Allie, Lucas, Abigail, Ella and Jacob; father, Donald Taylor of Annapolis, MD; sisters, Patricia Sansbury (Jim) of Annapolis, MD, and Marion Sparrow (Tim) of Bradenton, FL; and brother, George Graefe (Linda) of Annapolis, MD.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Saturday April 22nd from 1:00PM to 2:30PM followed by a service at 2:30PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sharon's name to the Brain Injury Association of Delaware, 872-C Walker, Road, Dover, DE 19904.
