Age 72, a resident of Forest Brook Glen for 46 years completed her life's journey on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by her loved ones. Confident in the family she was leaving behind, Sandy followed her heart to the one thing she couldn't get enough of, her husband, William C. Buckley, Sr. whom passed away in 2001. They have reunited in a place where everyday is a holiday. Mrs. Buckley retired from FLAME-TECH in 2008 as the office manager, where she played a vital role helping to establish the standard operating procedures. Prior to that, Sandy worked in the Office Supply Industry for several years including managing the retail location of OSP in North Wilmington. Before entering the workforce, she was a proud housewife and loving mother to 5 children. Mom enjoyed bowling, gardening, and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed sports, but was most passionate about the Phillies, her 49- ERS and Eagles. She is survived by her 3 sons William C., Jr. (Vicky), John J., and Bob, Sr. (Kim); her 2 daughters, Connie Buckley (Kate) and Sandee Goldner (Wayne), all of Wilmington; 6 grandsons: Billy III, Kyle, Andrew "AJ", Ryan, Brandon and Bobby Jr.; 5 granddaughters: Michele Lynne, Kristen, Felicia, Brooke and Caitlyn. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren and her brothers, Wayne Horn (Sharon) of Wayne, PA and Mark Horn (Christine) of Ft. Worth, TX.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthews Church, 901 E. Newport Pike on Wednesday morning at 11 AM, where friends may call after 10 AM.
