Salvatore, "Sal" S. Favazza, age 53, of Newark, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Sal was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, son of Geraldine "Dini" (Loiacano) Favazza and Peter Favazza. Sal began working with his hands at a young age and turned this into a career in Carpentry and interior construction. In his free time, Sal enjoyed cooking, riding his motorcycles, and playing the drums. He also enjoyed hanging out at "The Spot" (D&H) and having an ice-cold beer. Sal was also a family man who loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother and father, Sal is survived by his life partner, Amy Stemple; daughter, Nicole Favazza- Welch (Tyler); son, Salvatore Favazza; daughter, Kylee-Kotah; granddaughter Abigail Welch; grandson, Joshua Welch; sister, Angel Favazza; nephew, Evan Straight and numerous close family and friends whom he all loved.

A visitation will be held on July 1st from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. with a memorial service to be held at 2:30 P.M at at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held privately.

Sal will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Sal's name to the Glioblastoma Foundation, Glioblastomafoundation.org.
