Ruth M. Keener, age 89, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2019.Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Keener; her daughter, Mary Jane; and her grandson, Scotty Lindell.Ruth is survived by her children, Kathy Halter of Bear, Sharon Stewart (Peter) of Galena, MD, Garry Keener (Liz) of Newark, Laurie Keener (Kenny Lindell) of Newark; her grandchildren, Allison Bender Corbett (Kenyon), Elizabeth Stewart, and Jesse Stewart, and John Keener (Sarah Dunwody); and her great grandson, Warren Lindell. Ruth is also survived by her sister, Peggy Fleming of Lindenwood, NJ.Services will be private.
