Ruth I. Hrycak, 69 of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Christiana Hospital. Ruth was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Beverly (Braunstein) and Max Simon. She graduated from P.S. DuPont High School and attended Indiana University. Ruth worked as a scheduling manager for A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital for over 20 years. Ruth took great joy in spending time with family during holidays, was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, always kept the family alerted to nearby storms. She consistently enjoyed going to her second home in Myrtle Beach, SC. Her husband, Roman "Raymond" Hrycak passed away in 2008. Ruth will be dearly missed by her children, Kimberly and Steve of Wilmington and her brothers, Robert Simon of Wilmington and George Simon and his wife, Jane of Statesville, NC. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 AM at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, where friends may call after 10 AM.
