Ruth Elizabeth Gagnon, age 84 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. She was the wife of Donald F. Gagnon, Sr., who passed away in 2017 and with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Shane) Neidlein. In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her brother, Albert (Bud) Neidlein and her sister, Grace DiFillippo. Ruth is survived by her sons, Donald F. Jr., of Wilmington and Gary (Rachel) of Delmar, MD, her daughter and caregiver, Jeanine Fox and her daughter, Renee Buskirk (Russ) of Wilmington; her sisters, Shirley Oddo of Laurel, DE, Mary Zickefoose, Darlene Fraim and Linda Simonds, all of Wilmington, her 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to current pandemic conditions, there will be no services held. A celebration of Ruth's life will be planned in the future.
