Rosemary A. Odong-Wodolam passed away on August 28, 2022, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.

Born in Uganda, Rosemary Odong-Wodolam was the daughter of the late Dericiya Angeyo Ojok and John B. Odongkara, stepdaughter to the late Abitimo Rebecca Odongkara. She immigrated to the United States in 1977. She was a Registered Dietitian and member of the American Dietetic Association, Chicago, Illinois; She earned her Master's Degree in Community Nutrition (5/88), B.S. in Environmental Health Science (12/85), and a B.S. in General Dietetics (12/83) from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky; Also, Rosemary earned a Diploma in Hotel & Institutional Management from the University of South Bank, London, United Kingdom. At the time of her passing, Rosemary was a Renal Dietitian full-time with Fresenius Medical Care for 25 years from July, 1997 to August, 2022. Also, she worked as a Renal Dietitian part-time with GAMBRO Healthcare Patients Services in Philadelphia for 4 years. Rosemary was a Nutritionist with Delaware Public Health, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program in Wilmington, Delaware where she worked for 8 years. Rosemary was a Nutrition Manager with North Inc., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 1 year. Rosemary loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, reading, dancing, music, and sewing.

Rosemary is survived by her husband Vincent Odong-Wodolam with whom she was married for 51 years; Her son Sebastian Lukwiya and his wife, Christine Lukwiya, Her daughters, Rebecca Perez and her husband David Perez, Marietta Odong-Wodolam; her grandchildren, Christian Kane Rucker, and David Daniel Perez; her siblings are Mary Odongkara, Florence Odongkara, Richard Olobo, Thomas Odora, Kenneth Olanya, Norah Anena, Patrick O. Odongkara, Naume A. Odongkara, Samuel O. Odongkara, Aaron O. Odongkara, Immanuel B. Odongkara and Mona A. Christian.

Eight months earlier, on December 3, 2021, Rosemary lost her son Francis Nyero Odong.

A visitation will be held on Saturday September 10th from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808 with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M.
