Rose M. Windett, age 96, of Wilmington, DE passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 15, 2021. Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Concetta (D'Ambrosio) and Frank Montani. Rose was a devoted homemaker for her four children. She loved to cook, a passion that she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Rose was also an avid crocheter. Every family member snuggles on a cold night in one of her Afghans. Her love for her family was selfless. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Harold Windett and her son, William Windett. She is survived by her children, Karen Windett, Ronald Windett and his wife, Angela, and Thomas Windett, and his wife, Tina; granddaughters, Ashley Adams, and husband Dennis, and Kristine Windett; grandsons, Aaron, Zachary and his wife, Lindsey, Luke, Noah, Alex, Niko, and Quin Windett; and her great granddaughters, Jessica and Natalie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 10 A.M. at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Shopping Center 2nd Floor, Newark, DE 19711.
