Rose Marie Harkins, age 84, of Newark, DE passed away on April 29th, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Agnes (Gray) and Charles Gillen. She attended high school in Philadelphia and worked in an eyeglass factory before becoming a homemaker for her family. Rose enjoyed spending time with her daughter, husband and kitty, Cole.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, and son-in-law, Phillip Derwin. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Alvin M. Harkins; her daughter, Karen Derwin; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held late summer.
