Rose Marie Czyszczon, age 69, of Newark, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Rose was born in Passaic, NJ, daughter of the late Pearl May (Cressel) and Anthony James Conoscienti. Rose worked as a Sales Associate at Rite Aid for over 22 years until her retirement. In her younger years, Rose loved fishing and horseback riding. She truly loved all animals including over the years her pet spider, Spidey; family pet turtle Tiny, whom she loved to dig worms for; the squirrel, Shorttail that she befriended and the countless dogs she had over the years, including her beloved dogs Jamie, Sam, Cleo, Tarra and most recently Apollo. Rose passed on her love of animals to her kids and grandkids. She loved receiving pictures of and visits from her furry grandkids! In her free time, Rose enjoyed gardening, baking, watching weird tv shows, and spending time with her friends and family. In addition to her parents and in-laws, Rose was predeceased by her sister, Irene Martin.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Joseph Czyszczon; daughters, Cathie Tomassone (Tony Richard), Rita (Matt) Oller, Dawn Lewis (Chris Meza) and Mariah Czyszczon (Tim Cross); grandchildren, Matthew & Ryan Oller, Carson Cannon, Ethan & Evan Lewis, Jevin Meza, Elizabeth & Emily McMillen; sisters, Helen Blevins & Diane Phillips; brother, Joseph Conoscienti; sister and brother in-law Ann & Bob Orner; close family friends Stan & Judy Zoltak; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whom she all loved.

A visitation for Rose will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may call from 10-11 am, with a memorial service following at 11am. Burial will be held privately.
