Roberta McMahon, 83 of Wilmington passed away peacefully at Heartland Hospice House surrounded by her family.Roberta was born in Munhall, PA, the daughter of the late Margaret (Harkins) and Aldace Ackerman. She graduated from the Seton Hall School of Nursing and worked at the Pittsburgh Catholic Hospital. She retired as a registered nurse from the Veterans Hospital after 12 years. Roberta was a member of St. John the Beloved Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Earl, William and her twin, Robert.Roberta is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roy McMahon; her sons and their wives, Patrick and Lisa McMahon of Newark and Brian and Julie of Bear; her daughter, Mariane Alls and her husband, Brian of Hockessin; her grandchildren, Ian, Corinne, Audrey, Andrew, Brandon and Emily and her sister, Patricia Churrilla of Pittsburgh, PA.Funeral services and burial will be private.
