Roberta M. Boyle, age 94, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, June 28, 2024.

Roberta was born in Tamaqua, PA, daughter of the late Helen (Fetter) and William F. Miller. Roberta graduated from Tamaqua High School in 1947. In addition to being an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother she worked at the Charcoal Pit on Rt202 for over 52 years and was a lifelong Ladies Auxiliary member at Elsmere Volunteer Fire Company (50yrs). Roberta enjoyed sewing, crocheting, traveling, puzzles, and going to plays, musicals and craft shows. In addition to her parents, Roberta was also predeceased by her husband, Wilbur L. Boyle; son, David Boyle; and brothers, William P. Miller and Luther Miller.

Roberta is survived by her daughters, Marlene Nottle and her husband, Kenneth, Paula Smith, and Donna Piacentino; son, Andrew Boyle; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Paul Miller; sister, Ruth Schwoyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends whom she all loved.

A visitation for Roberta will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may visit from 11am to 12:30pm. She will be laid to rest immediately after at Gracelawn Memorial Park with a luncheon to follow at the Elsmere Fire Company.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Roberta's name be made to the Elsmere Fire House or a local animal shelter of your choice.
