Robert Taylor White, 82, of Landenberg, Pennsylvania and Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born on July 17, 1943, in Wilmington, Delaware, he was a devoted husband to Shirley K. Thomure, loving and proud father of Robin J. Murphy (Daniel) and Robert Todd White (Frannie), and loving and proud stepfather to Michelle Zechman (Wesley Stafford) and Madeleine Wisniewski (John).

Bob was an avid golfer his whole life, traveling to play courses all over the United States and Europe. He loved to watch golf on TV, follow the players, and tinker with his clubs. He could always be seen sporting a golf hat!
In retirement, Bob and Shirley spent many enjoyable years wintering in Sierra Vista, Arizona. where they enjoyed playing innumerable rounds of golf and sitting on their back porch under the pergola watching the golfers and the sunsets. Bob and Shirley spent numerous Christmases at the annual family Cookie Bake making the pizzelles.
He never turned down a cup of Dunkin coffee with cream and sugar and a chocolate glazed donut. He always had a love of cars. His sense of humor and witty impressions will surely be missed!
His family would like to thank Jenner's Pond Assisted Living staff for their wonderful care and support over the past couple of years, and the nurses and staff at Christiana Care Medical ICU for their kindness and care in his last days.
