Robert Francis Rogers, age 59, of Newark, DE, passed away on August 25, 2025.  Born in Philadelphia, Bob was the son of Virginia (Coppolino) and the late Joseph Rogers.  He spent his childhood in New York and New Jersey surrounded by siblings, cousins, and friends.  Robert earned his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University, followed by a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania.  He later completed his MBA at the University of Delaware.  Throughout his career, he conducted neuroscience research at several pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca and CHDI.  As a neurophysiologist, he also taught at the University of Delaware, Drexel University, and Thomas Jefferson University, among many others.

Robert was a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church for over 30 years and a 3rd degree member of their Knights of Columbus Council.  In addition to serving at St. John the Beloved, he helped to found the Knights of Columbus Council at Resurrection Parish.  Bob was an avid New York Giants fan and a lover of music, reading, history, and current events.  His greatest joys were spending time with family and friends and traveling.  He carried his faith into every aspect of his life, including his deep conversations with those he loved most.

Robert is survived by his wife of 32 years, Eileen G. Rogers; his children, Joseph Rogers (Valerie), Corrin Rogers (John Filosa), and Christopher Rogers (Karson Curran); his mother, Virginia Rogers; his sisters, Laurie Pestritto (Steve) and Virginia Butkowski (John); his mother and father-in-law, Maureen and Brian Guidera; his brother-in-law, Brian Guidera, Jr. (Trish Flannigan); and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends that he held so dear to his heart.
