Mullin, Sr.
December 24, 1936 – April 5, 2024
Robert T. Mullin, Sr., age 87, a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 5th, 2024.
Born in Wilmington, Robert was the son of the late Theresa (Fede) and Harry Mullin. He was a member of the 1956 graduating class of Salesianum School. He went on to work for 41 years as a pipefitter at Delmarva Power and Light prior to his retirement. Robert was a longtime member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. In his early years, he enjoyed boating, crabbing and spending time at Bethany Beach. He enjoyed cooking, shopping with his wife, Wilma and delivering goodies to friends and family. Robert was a selfless and generous man who cherished the time spent with his large and loving family. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He made friends everywhere he went with his infectious smile and magnetic personality. He was truly a treasure and will be forever missed by all who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Wilma Reilly-Mullin; his children, Robert T. Mullin, Jr. (Denise), Joanne H. Kaster (Jeffrey), James T. Mullin, Georgetta M. DellaVecchia Mullin; his stepchildren, Michael Reilly (Carlonda), Thomas Reilly, Theresa Moores, and John Reilly; his grandchildren, Zachary, Alec, Jacob, Amanda (Jonathan), Allison (Dustin), Kara, Patrick (Sara), Kara (Geoffrey), and Brian; his step grandchildren, Christian, CJ (Melissa), Shannon (Albert), Brittany; 6 great grandchildren, Bodhi, Lyric, Georgie, Ellie, Emmie and Preston, and his sister, Patricia Mullin.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14th at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the following morning April 15th at 11 A.M. at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Ronald McDonald House, 1901 Rockland Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803.
