Robert J. Mankovitch, Jr. (Mank), age 54, of St. Georges, DE passed away beside his longtime companion, Dawn Goffredo, in their home on April 7, 2023.

Robert was born in Wilmington, DE. He was the son of Catherine (Pollard) Anthony and the late Robert J. Mankovitch, Sr. Working as a general contractor (handyman), he spent most of his time pursuing his passion as a painter.

Growing up, Robert was passionate about many things. He was an avid swimmer - winning multiple awards as a child for his accomplishments; he was a confident bowler; and he enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together - an interest he carried with him into his later years, except he rarely put things back together. Robert was a hard-working individual, but in his off time he enjoyed spending time with family and watching Gold Rush or one of his various classic car shows.

Robert lived his life making friends everywhere he went; whether he met somebody in a grocery store, the doctor's office, or on the street in passing, he made best friends who will always remember his magnetic and humorous personality.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert J. Paoli, Stephen M. Paoli, and Cameron T. Mankovitch; his mother, Catherine Anthony; his grandchildren, Madison and Adriana Paoli; and his Aunt Nancy Deel.

Graveside services for Robert will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720, on Saturday April 22, 2023, at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
