Robert Leonard Graves Sr. age 80, of Newark, DE, passed away on July 24, 2025.

Born in Bronx, NY, Robert was the son of the late Agatha (James) and Herbert Graves, Sr. He was a Practical Nurse and served our country proudly in the United States Army and Navy during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Robert was also predeceased by his brother, Gerald Graves; sisters, Dolores Woods and Bernice Jones; and stepdaughter, Anita "Pixie" Oberton.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Dolores Oberton Graves; children, Tonya, Vanessa, Robert Graves Jr.(Sarah), Casaundra; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Herbert Graves Jr.; sister, Fatema Tahan; step children, Rocky, Vincent, Crystal, and Victor Oberton; nieces, Valerie, Alexis, and Libra; and numerous nephews, and close family friends whom he all loved.

A visitation will be held at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 2pm to 3pm, with a funeral ceremony beginning at 3pm. Burial will be held on Monday. August 18, 2025, at 11am at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
