Age 76 of Newark passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 16, 2016 surrounded by his family.Bob was born in Providence, RI, the son of the late Dorothy (McGonigle) and Julian Forgue. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and he retired from Bell Atlantic, formerly Diamond State Telephone where he was an installer and repairman for 34 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and especially watching hockey. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Rick and his granddaughter, Samantha.Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathryn (McDonough) Forgue; his son, Robert N., Jr. and his wife, Renee of Hockessin; his daughter, Robin Bartley and her husband, Robert of Townsend; his grandchildren, Curran, Kennelly, Kyle(Erika) and Keegan(Randi); his great-grandchildren, Gaige and Hailee; his brothers, Julian and Randy (Janice) Forgue, all of North Scituate, RI; Bert Desbiens (Karen) of Milford, CT and his sister, Lorraine Grimley (Buddy) of North Scituate, RI.Funeral services will be held at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington on Friday at 12 Noon, where friends may call after 11 AM.
