Obituary

Robert Gregory DuBois, age 63, of Townsend, DE passed on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2022, at Christiana Hospital.

He was born on May 2, 1959 in Milford, DE, to Gerald and Margaret DuBois.  He was raised in New Castle, DE, along with four siblings. Robert attended Delcastle and took electrical trades and later took computer engineering classes at Del Tech. He wanted to become a pilot, like his dad, so he received his helicopter pilot license before his 30th birthday. He flew his dad to the place where he learned to fly on his 80th birthday. He then became a member of AOPA pilots of America. He was employed by Verizon and retired at age 59 in 2018.

Robert and his wife loved animals and adopted 15 cats. They moved to Townsend so they can keep them happy in a safe environment. He adopted two chis, Oreo and Cookie, after all the cats, but two, had passed. He also loved to sing and dance at karaoke parties, and friends call him, "The My Way" guy. He loved to sing 'Wonderful Tonight" to his wife. He joined the choir at St Joseph's Church, and he enjoyed singing on the Sunday Mass with the group. Bob was a happy guy and always the life of the party. He loved flying, riding his motorcycle, and loved driving fast in his 2000 millennium Vette. He's the kind of guy that will drop everything to help somebody in need. He always tried to make everyone smile and laugh; that is why he will surely be missed.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by two siblings, Patricia Dale Brant and Gary DuBois. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, the love of his life, Angelina "Angel" Pangilinan from the Philippines. They met in 1981 New Castle, DE and they got married in September 1985. Robert is also survived by his sister, Margaret Perkins; brother, William DuBois; and, while they had no children, many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Parish, 371 E. Main Street, Middletown, DE 19709. Burial will be held privately.
