Robert S. Brozek, Jr., age 69, of Wilmington, DE passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 25, 2022 after a five-year battle with melanoma cancer.

Born in Jersey City, NJ on July 20, 1952, he was the son of Joan Evelyn (Hladik) and the late Robert S. Brozek, Sr. He attended St. John the Beloved grade school and was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Archmere Academy. Bob attended the University of Virginia and the University of Delaware before joining the Delaware Air National Guard in 1972. He worked for the Delaware City Refinery under numerous owners for nearly 40 years until his retirement in 2011.

Following his retirement, Bob enjoyed traveling and spending as much time as possible with his three grandchildren and grand dogs. He loved trips to Florida and the annual family vacation to Rehoboth Beach. Additionally, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, volleyball, softball, and golf as well as other outdoor activities. Bob's greatest joy was meeting the love of his life, Megan, in 1970. There was not a better companion for him to spend 52 years with.

In addition to his father, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Arlene Baranowski and his godmother, Priscilla Johnson.

Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Megan Brozek; his children and their spouses, Tim and Kathi Brozek of Crofton, MD and Mick Brozek of Newark, DE; his grandchildren, Tommy, Lucie, and Elena; his brothers, Ron Brozek (April) of Bear, DE, Duane Brozek (Lisa) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and Rick Brozek (Sally) of Decatur, GA; and his sister, Michelle Schiedly (Kenny) of Wilmington, DE.

The family would like to thank Medical Oncology Hematology Consultants, Dr. Jamal Mishleh and his team at the Helen Graham Cancer Center, Dr. Goulet, and Dr. Jennelly.
