Robert M. Boyd, age 68, of Pike Creek, passed away quietly surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 13, 2017 .Robert was born in Miami, Fl., a son of the late Cecilia Logue and Paul C. Boyd, Jr. He graduated from Eastern University before completing his Masters of Science in Strategic Leadership at Neumann College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Delaware Army National Guard.He enjoyed playing golf and especially loved spending time with his family. Robert was also an avid runner who completed 7 marathons over his life.In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Paul C. Boyd, III. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Flynn) Boyd; his son, Bradley M. Boyd, husband of Bridget Boyd of Newark, DE; two grandchildren, Norah and Liam; his two sisters, Joan Roberts (Richard) of Collingdale, PA and Nancy Seymour (Shawn) of Salisbury, MD.A service of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington DE 19809 in the Chapel of the Risen Christ. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM. Committal will follow at the Way of the Cross Niche Wall.
