Robert "Bob" Hayes, age 58, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on October 12, 2022.

Bob was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Doris (Gardner) and Richard "Dick" Hayes. He spent his younger years living in Phoenix and New Castle, Delaware where he graduated from William Penn High School and Hodgson Vocational Technical School, class of 1982. After High School, Bob married the love of his life, Loreen. His happiest moment was when he became a father to his son, Chris, whom he loved, adored, and was proud of every day of his life.  Recently, he moved back to the Arizona area where he lived with his beloved Uncle Don.

Bob had a kind heart and a generous spirit and gave with love to anybody who needed help. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Bob loved surf fishing, boating, crabbing, and enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. He was exceptional and gifted at fixing almost anything that needed fixing and was a Master Electrician and Plumber.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Gardner who lived her life loving and inspiring him to be kind, optimistic, compassionate, forgiving, loving, and always fun. He is also survived by his father and stepmother, Richard "Dick" and Nancy Hayes; sister, Dawn Hayes Roth and her former husband, Alan; and nephews, Jack Roth and Alexander Roth; and stepsister, Jinni Hayes; and nephews Nathaniel and Oliver.

Bob will be remembered in love and sweet memories by his son, Christopher Michael Hayes, his former wife and friend of 42 years Loreen L. Hayes, and her daughter Rachel Leigh Evans.

We will miss him dearly but know in our hearts that he is at last at peace and in the loving care of the God of his understanding. We know that we will one day meet again but for now, rest in peace Bob.

A memorial service for close family and friends will be held on Saturday October 29th at 2:00 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, Bob would want you to express your love to those you value.
