Age 92, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 25, 2016 surrounded by her family.Born in Pleasantville, NJ, Rita was the daughter of the late William and Mary (O'Rourke) Fritz. She was a member of St. John the Beloved Church. In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Abbott in 1989, her daughter Virginia Cebenka, her grandsons Robert Cebenka and Dustin Walker, a son-in-law James Denike, and six siblings.She will be dearly missed by her son Robert W. Jr. (Margaret) of Bloomsburg, PA; her daughters Deborah Denike of Dagsboro, DE; Elizabeth Swift (Francis) of Hockessin, DE; Kathleen Moore (Harry) of Wilmington; Jeannette Abbott, and Judythe Abbott of Wilmington; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday, March 1st beginning at 10:30 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon.
