Richard Custis Woltemate Jr., 78, of Hockessin, Delaware, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and caregiver. He was the son of the late Richard Custis Woltemate Sr. and Ethel "Babs" Frankish Woltemate.

Dick was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Mt. Airy and Villanova, PA. He graduated from Harriton High School and attended Villanova University. He had a brilliant mind and a passion for technology. He worked at Honeywell and IBM before starting his own business, CADapult Ltd., a software company that specialized in computer-aided design.

Dick had many hobbies throughout his life, such as playing saxophone and clarinet in a band, restoring old Jaguar engines, programming computers, and rewiring his home for audio and video networking. He was always eager to learn new things and challenge himself. He enjoyed technology, music, movies, cars, and TV. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Caren Greisman; his son, Richard C. "RC" Woltemate III; his grandson, Tyler Woltemate; his caregiver, Simone McKee; and other friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial gathering will be held at his residence on Sunday, October 8th, with appetizers served at 2:00 p.m. and a memorial toast at 3:00 p.m., followed by dinner.
