Richard J. Nester, age 84, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at his home.

Richard was born in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Elizabeth (Diffendal) and Joseph Nester. He was a graduate of Salesianum School, Class of 1958 and worked as a machinist for AC Layman Machine Company for over 40 years. He served his country in the Air Force Reserve.  In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brothers, William and John.

Richard is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark J. and Carolyn Nester of Cranford, NJ and his grandchildren, Aiden, Brady and Keira.
