Richard Price Grier Jr., age 72, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Richard was born in Wilmington, son of the late Shirley (Gebhart) and Richard Price Grier Sr. Richard attended Wilmington High School and later completed his GED. Richard went on to become a plumber at George H. Burns HVAC for 25 years until his retirement. He was proud of his faith and an active parishioner at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Christopher Council, where he was formerly the Grand Knight. In his free time, Richard loved to go boating, fishing, hunting, and spend as much time as possible with his friends and family. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his son, Oliver Carl Grier; and siblings, Juanita, Donnie, Patricia, and Oliver.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Grier; sons, Richard Price Grier III and Michael Jonathon (Alice) Grier; granddaughter, Carissa (Tyler) Taylor; great granddaughter, Isabella Cavanaugh; sisters, Shirley Slaughter and Debra Right; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends whom he all loved.

A visitation for Richard will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may call from 10AM to 12PM, with a memorial service beginning at 12PM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
