Raymond M. Costello, age 82, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2023. Ray was born in Dubois, PA and was raised in Wilmington by his parents, the late Michael and Anna DuCar Costello. He graduated from Conrad High School in 1958 where he excelled in multiple sports. Following graduation, Ray enlisted in the Navy. Upon discharge in 1962, he worked for Electric Hose and Rubber for 10 years. He then became an electrician and worked for Amtrak at the Wilmington Shops for over 30 years. Ray was a parishioner of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church for almost 60 years.

Ray loved his family; he coached and supported his children and grandchildren in all of their ventures. He was an avid golfer and a member of Ed Porky Oliver's Golf Course where he had two holes-in-one.

Ray married the love of his life, Carol (Sarro), his wife of 53 years. He is also survived by his son, Chris Costello (Deirdre), his daughter, Kelly Allison (James), and his two grandsons, Tyler and Xavier Allison.

A visitation will be held on Monday April 10th at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road Wilmington, DE 19808 from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 1:30 P.M.
