Age 67, of Wilmington, DE, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.Born in Warren, OH, Randall was the son of the late James B. Elser. He worked for the Trumbull County Sheriff's Department, IDS, and Steel Technologies. He later worked for Bank of America as a fraud analyst until his retirement. Randy was a graduate of Champion High School, where he excelled in Cross Country and Basketball. In 1967 he was 1st team all-league, 1st team all Trumbull County, and Honorable Mention All Northeastern Ohio. He shot 58% from the floor, averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds a game, led the team in scoring with 354 points, and tied Wilt Chamberlain's rebounding record at the Farrell Tournament with 52 rebounds in 2 games. He was inducted into the Champion Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009.He is survived by his mother, Margaret Idell (Mullen) Elser, his brothers, Rex and Daryl (Ace), his sister Kathleen, his son, Randall J.
