Phyllis M. West, "Skinnee", 71 of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 21, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital.

Phyllis was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Marion (Cappiello) and Joseph A. Gentile. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and worked as a benefits administrator. Skinnie was a member of St. Anthony's Club. Her husband, Eugene M. "Fox" West died in October.

Phyllis is survived by her sisters, Joanne Spence and MaryAnn Brown (Charles); her brother, Joseph Gentile; her nieces, Lisa Michaels, Maureen Cathell and Christine West; her nephews Mark and Michael West; her dear friend, Robert Tomczyk and many other friends and relatives.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Fourth Street and Bancroft Parkway on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
